CECO Environmental is seeking a senior-level Structural Designer III to develop accurate, fabrication-ready structural and mechanical design packages for heavy industrial equipment. You will own complex designs from concept to fabrication, focusing on hot exhaust and flue gas ducting within pollution control systems.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in industrial design, strong 3D modeling skills, and experience with large-scale ducting at elevated temperatures.

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree in CAD/Drafting, Engineering Tech or related field;Bachelor’s preferred.
• 8+ years in industrial structural or mechanical design in heavy industrial or process environments.
• Experience designing industrial casing ductwork and structural members.
• Experience with large-scale industrial ducting at elevated temperatures.
• Strong 3D modeling skills and fabrication-ready drawings.
• Solid understanding of geometry and material quantity calculations.

Aufgaben

• Develop complete design packages with 3D CAD models, drawings, and material take-offs.
• Design large-scale hot exhaust and flue gas ducting and structural components.
• Assess inputs for completeness; resolve missing or conflicting information with stakeholders.
• Apply design principles for thermal expansion and high-temperature service.
• Create fabrication-ready details considering materials, welds, and shop vs field constraints.
• Coordinate ducting interfaces with pollution control and process equipment.
• Produce customer-approved drawings for procurement and fabrication.
• Collaborate with Sales, Project Engineering, and Project Management to meet specs and schedules.
• Perform geometric and material calculations to support design accuracy.
• Review peer drawings for accuracy and consistency; provide feedback.
• Support document control and revision management; issue drawings to customers.
