Job summary

HNTB is seeking a Deputy Structural Design Manager in Rocky Hill, CT to lead and oversee large-scale design-build infrastructure projects. You will coordinate structural engineering across firms and offices, ensuring design standards, quality, and delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience.
• 2 years task management or Deputy PM experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scope and fee quotation; assist in technical proposals and contracts per SDA/SCA.
• Serve as primary client liaison; manage project team to deliver scope, schedule, and budgets.
• Perform technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production.
• Lead project delivery plan implementation using SDA; supervise and mentor teams.
• Coordinate staffing, recruitment, development, and performance reviews.
• Assist with business development and client relationships; lead proposals and presentations.
• May recruit and develop staff; perform other duties as assigned.
