Job summary

The Boeing Company in the St. Louis area is seeking Experienced or Senior Structural Design Engineers to develop, maintain, and modify structural and interior payload system designs using 3-D CAD tools and other design methods. This role supports multiple aircraft programs within Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) from locations in the St.

Louis region. Responsibilities include setting system design, collaborating across engineering groups, and ensuring components meet requirements through

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Materials) required.
• Level 3 requires 5+ years related experience or equivalent, Level 4 requires 9+ years.
• Experience reading 2-D drawings and using NX/Teamcenter is preferred.
• Must be able to obtain US Citizenship and US government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.
• Develop, modify designs using 3-D CAD and other methods to provide product definition to engineering, production, suppliers and customers.
• Perform analyses and tests to validate systems meet requirements and specifications.
• Lead supplier development, test and production activities and coordinate with suppliers to optimize design.
• Develop new design/analysis processes to improve development efficiency.
• Investigate emerging technologies for future product designs.
