The Role

My client is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with extensive experience in NYC-based projects to lead structural engineering teams and oversee the delivery of innovative structural systems. This role is ideal for a PE-licensed professional who thrives in leadership positions and is passionate about mentoring and driving excellence across interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

Direct structural design and analysis from concept through construction phases.

Lead and mentor a team of engineers, architects, and technical staff.

Interface with clients, consultants, and city agencies to ensure design integrity and regulatory compliance.

Maintain control over project budgets, timelines, and deliverables.

Oversee quality assurance and technical documentation, ensuring the highest standards are met.

Candidate Requirements

At least 10 years of structural design experience on projects within New York City.

PE License in New York State (required).

Demonstrated leadership in managing project teams and stakeholder relationships.

High-level proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, RISA, AutoCAD, and Revit.

Thorough knowledge of NYC building codes and local construction procedures.

Strong communication and organizational capabilities.
