Job summary

GBA seeks a Structural Concrete Superintendent in Lenexa, KS to lead large-scale concrete operations from pour through close-out. You will direct crews, manage formwork, reinforcing, and decks, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence while coordinating with PMs, GC, and engineers.

Responsibilities include planning pours, supervising trades, and maintaining documentation. The role requires OSHA-30, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to mentor field staff and manage multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field and 10+ years experience or equivalent experience.
• Progressive construction leadership on large/complex projects.
• OSHA-30 certification required.
• Proven ability to lead field teams and manage multiple subcontractors and trades.
• Strong commitment to safe and inclusive work environment.
• Expertise in schedules and managing critical path milestones.
• Quality control across trades and phases.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across audiences.
• Deep understanding of construction processes, plans, specs, and contracts.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.
• Ability to manage team dynamics and mentor others.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily structural concrete field operations and manage crews, foremen, and subs.
• Plan and coordinate large concrete pours, including manpower, equipment, deliveries, and pumps.
• Oversee formwork, shoring, reinforcing steel, embeds, and cast-in-place components.
• Manage construction of footings, foundations, grade beams, columns, shear walls, decks.
• Read and interpret drawings, specs, elevations, and details.
• Coordinate with PMs, GCs, engineers, inspectors, and other trades.
• Develop short-term work plans and maintenance of production schedules.
• Monitor labor, materials, equipment, and field progress.
• Conduct pre-pour inspections and verify quality.
• Enforce OSHA requirements and safety procedures.
• Maintain daily reports and field documentation.
• Identify field conflicts and resolve issues to avoid delays.
• Lead daily meetings and set expectations with crews.
• Provide leadership or oversight to field foremen as needed.
