Job summary

AMT is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer - Bridges and Transportation in Towson, MD, or other office locations. You will lead highway and pedestrian bridge projects, mentor staff, and coordinate with DOTs, counties, municipalities and private clients. Requires 10+ years of design/analysis and PE licensure.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil engineering degree required.
• PE licensure or ability to obtain via reciprocity within 6 months of hire.
• 10+ years of project and client management experience.
• MS Office experience.
• Demonstrated business development and strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve in a lead technical role on bridge or structural design projects.
• Plan, direct, and monitor multi-discipline projects with technical complexity.
• Establish client relations and participate in marketing and meetings.
• Coordinate schematic, design development and contractual document work sessions.
• Ensure deliverables meet standards and client/AMT requirements.
• Coordinate staffing and workload to complete documents on schedule.
• Work with management for project reviews and QA/QC of bridge plans.
• Provide training and mentorship to staff and supervise less-experienced PMs.
