Job summary

STV is seeking a Senior Structural (Bridge) Engineer in Franklin, TN to join our Transportation Team. You will analyze and design highway and pedestrian bridges, lead tasks, and contribute to proposals and project delivery.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of design experience, a TN PE license, and strong leadership and client-relations skills to help grow the bridge practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive design experience on structural projects.
• TN Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Strong analytical and design skills for transportation structures.
• Project management and ability to schedule and coordinate work.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with staff and clients.

• Work as part of the Bridge Practice in the TN office.
• Analyze and design bridges and related structures.
• Support design on projects and lead assigned tasks.
• Assist in preparing technical and cost proposals to win work.
• Help oversight of project delivery to meet forecasted margins.
• Provide leadership by mentoring junior staff.
• Collaborate with managers and leads to develop budgets and schedules.
• Ensure quality of deliverables from the Bridge Group.

STV has an immediate need for a Senior Structural (Bridge) Engineer to join our Transportation Team, located in Franklin, TN. This position will involve analysis, design and of highway and pedestrian bridges and associated structures. Responsibilities Include

• Work as an integral part of the Bridge Practice in our TN office.
• Provide analysis, design and of bridges and related structures.
• Support structural design on selected projects and lead assigned tasks as appropriate.
• Support preparation of technical and cost proposals to win work.
• Assist Senior staff in oversight of project delivery to ensure projects meet or exceed forecasted profit margins.
• Provide leadership and direction by mentoring and motivating junior staff.
• Work with managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and project delivery plans.
• Assist in maintaining quality of project deliverables produced by the Bridge Group.
• Foster and manage client relationships at appropriate levels to help procure new business. Some evenings will be spent at professional society meetings where you will work to develop and maintain relationships with clients, teaming partners, and potential technical staff hires.

Qualifications Include

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive design experience on structural engineering projects.
• TN Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Solid structural analysis and design skills with an understanding of related engineering disciplines needed to complete transportation and infrastructure projects.
• Project management skills and ability to plan and coordinate work efforts needed to meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to form effective relationships with staff and clients.

Compensation Range:

$118,489.97 - $135,417.11
