Job summary

STV, Inc. in Franklin, TN seeks a Structural Engineering Specialist to join the Transportation team. You will participate in planning, design, and construction projects and develop technical reports, calculations, and memos.

The role requires a civil engineering degree, familiarity with structural design software, strong communication, and a desire to work on large multidisciplinary projects with fast-paced schedules. A valid driver's license is required. EIT preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Basic understanding of structural engineering fundamentals.
• Familiarity with civil and structural design software.
• Strong desire to work with clients, public stakeholders and team members.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Desire to work on large multidisciplinary projects with fast-paced schedules, requiring creative thinking and problem-solving.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience using MicroStation and/or OpenBridge (preferred).

Structural Engineering Specialist – Franklin, TN

STV currently has an opening in our Franklin, TN office for a Structural Engineering Specialist. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a team of engineers and designers on multiple projects for the Transportation department. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, energetic individual who wants to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a variety of planning, design, and construction projects.

• Use software to design structural elements such as bridges and retaining walls.
• Develop construction documents, including technical drawings and specifications.
• Participate in meetings with clients and stakeholders and develop content for these meetings.

Compensation

$68,451.28 - $78,230.03
