STV’s Franklin, TN office is seeking a Structural Engineering Specialist to join a team of engineers and designers on transportation projects. You will participate in planning, design, and construction activities and assist in creating technical reports, calculations, and memos.

You will use Civil/Structural design software to craft elements like bridges and retaining walls, develop construction documents, and engage with clients and stakeholders to present content.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
• Basic understanding of structural engineering fundamentals.
• Familiarity with civil and structural design software.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• EIT certification preferred but not required.
• Experience with MicroStation or OpenBridge is a plus.
• Valid driver's license.

STV currently has an opening in our Franklin, TN office for a Structural Engineering Specialist. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a team of engineers and designers on multiple projects for the Transportation department. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, energetic individual who wants to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a variety of planning, design, and construction projects.
• Assist in developing technical design reports, calculations, and memos.
• Use software to design structural elements such as bridges and retaining walls.
• Develop construction documents, including technical drawings and specifications.
• Participate in meetings with clients and stakeholders and develop content for these meetings.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• A basic understanding of structural engineering fundamentals.
• Familiarity with civil and structural design software.
• A strong desire to work with and help clients, public stakeholders, and fellow team members.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• A desire to work on large multidisciplinary projects with fast-paced schedules, which require creative thinking and innovative problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Other Positive Attributes

• An engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred but not required.
• Experience using MicroStation and/or OpenBridge.

Compensation Range

$68,451.28 - $78,230.03
