Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural BIM Designer in the Cities & Places group to work from Dallas or Fort Worth, Texas. The role focuses on 3D Revit modeling for steel and concrete structures, with ownership of portions of the structural scope and collaboration across disciplines.

The position requires an Associate degree in CAD or equivalent and at least five years in drafting/design with Revit Structure. A hybrid work policy and growth opportunities are highlighted.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Computer Aided Drafting or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of drafting/design/detailing experience in the structural field.
• Minimum of 5 years of Revit Structure experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in 3D modeling using Revit, with experience in steel and concrete structures and maintaining intelligent designs.
• Create conceptual structural models from engineers' direction or rough sketches.
• Incorporate department and client standards into modeling and documents.
• Own portion of the structural scope and meet schedule and quality requirements.
• Coordinate work with related disciplines to avoid clashes.
• Provide quality reviews of models and documents to ensure standards are met.
• Lead a small team of designers and manage workload and deadlines.
