Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a qualified Structural Design Technician for the Cities & Places team in the Dallas or Fort Worth area. The role focuses on steel and concrete structural modeling in Revit, with ownership of design tasks and collaboration across disciplines.

Candidates should have an Associate degree in CAD or equivalent and at least five years of Revit Structure experience, plus strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in CAD or equivalent; minimum 5 years drafting/design/detailing experience in structural field.
• Minimum of 5 years of Revit Structure experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in 3D modeling using Revit for steel and concrete structures.
• Create conceptual structural models from engineers or sketches.
• Incorporate standards in modeling and documents.
• Own portion of structural scope and meet schedule/quality requirements.
• Check own work for completeness and quality.
• Coordinate with related disciplines to avoid clashes.
• Assume lead designer duties and manage a small team when required.
