Job summary

Acutronic is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer Structural Analyst to develop and optimize structural models and perform FEA analyses to meet project specs. The role involves evaluating static, dynamic, seismic, wind, and thermal loads, applying military specs, and coordinating with design engineers and project managers.

Responsibilities include reporting, prototype testing oversight, mentorship of junior engineers, and maintaining material property databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
• Master's degree preferred.
• At least 7 years of related experience required.
• Proficient in FEA using ANSYS Workbench and APDL.
• Strong understanding of structural dynamics and vibrations.
• Experience with MATLAB and MathCAD for numerical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis using FEA to assess design viability.
• Compute loads: static, dynamic, seismic, wind, and thermal.
• Ensure compliance with military specs and material standards.
• Develop and optimize structural models to meet project specifications.
• Oversee prototype testing and validate simulation results.
