Job summary

Rolls Royce Motor Cars seeks a Senior Stress and Lifing Engineer to lead structural analysis of critical automotive components. You will perform fatigue, durability and lifing studies using FEA, materials data, and test results to ensure safety and refinement.

Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test teams to optimize weight, NVH, and reliability based on BMW Group standards. You will guide validation plans, review supplier data, mentor junior engineers, and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Strong background in FEA-based stress, fatigue, and lifing analyses.
• Experience with load case development and correlation to test data.
• Ability to interpret test results and refine analytical models.
• Familiarity with CATIA or NX CAD/CAE integration.
• Experience working to BMW Group standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead stress, fatigue, and lifing analyses for critical body, chassis, and powertrain components.
• Develop and refine load cases, boundary conditions, and FEA models for durability and crash relevant scenarios.
• Interpret test and fleet data to correlate and improve analytical models and lifing predictions.
• Collaborate with design, materials, and manufacturing teams to optimize components for weight, NVH, and reliability.
• Define and support validation and test plans aligned with BMW Group standards and regulations.
• Review and approve supplier calculations, reports, and design proposals for structural integrity.
• Document and present technical findings, risks, and recommendations to engineering leadership.
• Mentor junior engineers in stress, fatigue, and lifing methodologies and toolsets.
• Drive continuous improvement of CAE workflows, automation, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and traceability requirements in a highly regulated environment.

You will guide validation plans, review supplier data, mentor junior engineers, and drive continuous improvement in methods and digital toolsets in a precision focused, craftsmanship driven environment.
