Job summary

Capital One in McLean, VA seeks a Senior Manager, Business Analysis to lead a team of analysts, shape and deliver large-scale strategic initiatives with exposure to senior leadership across the enterprise.

You will apply strategic and analytical skills to major challenges, own planning, coach analysts, and develop pricing strategies for lending products while collaborating across IT, Sales, Operations, Finance to improve growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 3 years of experience performing quantitative analysis
• At least 3 years of experience performing qualitative analysis
• At least 1 year of experience performing people management
• At least 1 year of experience performing project management

Responsibilities

• Strategic leadership: Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One.
• Business ownership: Ownership mindset with potential P&L accountability; strategic planning with a 1–6 month horizon.
• Leadership: Manage and develop a team of analysts; coach and mentor associates.
• Product: Develop and implement pricing strategies for lending products; lead product-level modeling/analytics.
• Marketing: Guide direct-to-consumer marketing efforts and inform new customer experiences and go-to-market concepts.
• Credit Risk: Improve credit performance by modeling drivers and testing hypotheses with analysis.
• Execution: Coordinate delivery of business intent; oversee multiple projects and programs.
• Partnership: Collaborate with IT, Sales, Operations, Finance to drive improvements.
• Strategic & analytic orientation: Data-driven decision making with strong quantitative focus.
• Executive communication: Clear, persuasive written and verbal communication to leadership.
• Results orientation: Drive short- and long-term goals; deliver against an uncertain environment.
• Consulting background: Previous consulting experience is a plus.
