Job summary

SDG Group, a global data, analytics and AI consulting firm, seeks a Senior Consultant in our Business Strategy team to drive data-driven transformation for CPG & Retail clients. You will advise senior stakeholders, identify high-impact analytical use cases, and optimize data processes to bridge business goals with technical solutions.

This strategic role requires deep domain knowledge, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a hybrid Bedminster, NJ

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience in business consulting, data strategy, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of CPG industry challenges and retail use cases.
• Experience working with analytics products as a Product Manager or Product Owner is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management with senior leaders.
• Analytical mindset capable of translating strategies into data insights.

Responsibilities

• Strategy & Roadmap Development: identify high-value use cases and create strategic roadmaps for analytics.
• Product Management: guide prioritization, manage risk, and define features for timely delivery.
• Stakeholder Engagement: build trust between business and development teams and senior leaders.
• Business Process Expertise: understand client processes to guide development decisions.
• Solution Guidance: evaluate data providers and tools; translate insights into recommendations.
• Process Improvement: define roadmaps to optimize analytics lifecycle impact.
• Team Leadership: lead small teams, manage multiple projects, mentor junior staff.
