Job summary

Liberty Mutual in Boston is seeking a Senior Consultant for Corporate Strategy & Research to join a high‑impact team advising senior executives on strategic decisions. You’ll lead workstreams, shape growth and operating models, and translate data into clear recommendations.

Ideal candidates have an MBA (or equivalent) with 3+ years MBA or 5+ years Bachelor, strong leadership, and the ability to influence stakeholders while communicating findings and managing multiple projects in a fast‑paced

Qualifications

• MBA with demonstrated track record or equivalent business and analytical background.
• 3+ years of MBA or 5+ years of work experience with a Bachelor.
• Strong critical thinking skills with ability to elevate thinking and apply judgment.
• Ability to leverage experience and analysis to gain support and influence others.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and written and oral communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently and as a member of a team, and coach junior team members.
• Ability to manage multiple projects or priorities.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
• Insurance or financial services industry experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Decipher strategic issues faced by Liberty Mutual stakeholders, and determining how best to address them.
• Designing work plans for your workstream, and collecting data from various internal and external sources (e.g., executive interviews and workshops, customer surveys).
• Crafting compelling storylines that clearly articulate findings, insights, and recommendations.
• Building and owning relationships with key client stakeholders.
• Directing team and client stakeholders towards consensus points and gaining buy-in.
• Communicating with senior leadership to influence and drive the organization to action.
• Supporting the development and coaching of Associate Consultants and Senior Associate Consultants.
• Contributing to CS&R initiatives such as recruiting, talent development, culture building and engagement, or alumni engagement.
