Job summary

PG&E is seeking a Manager/Principal for the Ignitions Investigations team in Oakland to lead data-driven wildfire ignition analyses and risk reduction initiatives. You will partner with Electric Operations, Regulatory, and other stakeholders to advance strategic insights and regulatory reporting.

The role requires leading complex projects, mentoring teams, and presenting findings to senior leadership, with a hybrid work arrangement within PG&E service territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Policy, Engineering, Physics or other related fields or equivalent work experience
• Job-related experience, 8 years
• Ability to travel up to 40% of working time

Responsibilities

• Undertakes assignments of the highest complexity and impact to PG&E.
• Coaches, mentors and trains others in strategy development and Lean tools.
• Evaluates and develops new analytic methods and tools, processes, procedures for the department.
• Solves unique and complex strategic issues and problems.
• Manage major cross-functional projects and initiatives.
• Works with leadership across functions to influence decisions.
• Anticipates issues and develops innovative solutions.
• Collaborates and influences policy and program strategy at other utilities and regulatory agencies.
• Leads development of testimony on complex analysis and policy issues.
• Pilots innovative approaches to wildfire risk reduction.
• Tracks and maintains the wildfire Tactical Implementation Plan (TIP) and containment strategies
