MISUMI Americas seeks a Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist to build and optimize the U.S. supplier network. You’ll work hands-on with domestic manufacturers, conduct on-site assessments, and drive value through cost, quality, and capacity improvements.

Remote role with Bay Area presence required; frequent factory visits and stakeholder collaboration are essential. Reports to the Manager of Strategic Sourcing, U.S., and acts as a senior SME within the team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain, manufacturing engineering, or supplier development.
• Hands-on experience with domestic manufacturing suppliers, including on-site engagement.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding, or additive manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred

Responsabilités

• Build & Manage Manufacturing Partner Relationships with U.S.-based suppliers.
• Maintain and strengthen supplier networks and performance.
• Negotiate and align commercial terms and MSAs.
• Lead supplier development initiatives to improve quality and capacity.
• Engage on-site with partners to assess capabilities and resolve issues.
• Travel 25–50% to Bay Area and partner facilities.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Quality, Costing/DFM, and Operations.
