Job summary

Required: 10+ years in procurement, 6+ years in FAR, 3+ years presenting to leadership. Bachelor's degree. This hybrid role blends remote coordination with on-site collaboration at Newport News, VA.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in full procurement lifecycle with diverse contract types.
• 6+ years experience with FAR clauses, negotiations, and source selection.
• 3+ years presenting to leadership and driving decisions.
• Knowledge of government property administration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cradle to grave procurement services for the lab's mission.
• Analyze, negotiate, and document federal contract terms and conditions.
• Review scopes and deliverables for clarity and completeness.
• Procure a wide range of needs including services, supplies, and equipment.
• Mentor junior procurement staff and lead teams on initiatives.
• Provide strategic procurement guidance and develop solicitation packages.
• Lead a portfolio of procurements and conduct pre-proposal activities.
• Understand CPSR, audits, and prepare approval documentation.
• Apply DEAR and FAR controls and maintain regulatory compliance.
