Jefferson Lab in Newport News, VA, is seeking a seasoned Procurement Liaison Engineer to coordinate technical procurements for the Electron-Ion Collider project. The good-faith pay range for this role is $118,400- $169,850 per year. Actual compensation may vary and may be above the posted range based on factors such as a candidate's skills, experience, education, certifications, and work location.

Jefferson Lab is looking for a motivated engineer to join our team and lead the coordination of technical procurements for the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) project. The EIC is a partnership between Jefferson Lab and Brookhaven National Lab which will construct the only operating particle collider in the U.S., a next-generation electron-ion collider for fundamental physics research.
The Procurement Liaison Engineer (PLE) will be part of the Electron-Ion Collider project team at Jefferson Lab and serve as the primary liaison between the EIC Project and the JLab Procurement Department. The PLE is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring all procurement activities associated with Jefferson Lab's scope of the EIC Project - primarily accelerator magnets, superconducting radiofrequency cryomodules, cryoplants and cryogenic systems, and components for the ePIC detector. The PLE will work with engineers, scientists, and procurement officers to coordinate procurement, including developing schedules and vendors, assisting with and reviewing statements of work and other technical documents needed for procurement packages, developing and maintaining trackers and producing status reports, reporting to project and laboratory leadership on procurement status and issues, and coordinating with project partners and stakeholders.
