Job summary

Mercury is building a full stack of financial tools for startups. As a Senior Product Partnerships Manager on the Expansion team, you’ll own a portfolio of strategic partnerships end-to-end—focused on Mercury’s payroll vendor ecosystem—and manage onboarding, negotiations, and ongoing performance.

You’ll collaborate across product, legal, finance, and engineering to scale partnerships while driving product roadmap insights.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of strategic partnerships experience with end-to-end deal leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of expansion partnerships end-to-end, focusing on Mercury’s payroll vendor ecosystem.
  • Lead vendor selection processes, including evaluating RFPs and recommending best-fit partners.
  • Structure and lead negotiations, evaluating economics and when to push or compromise.
  • Sell the value of partnerships to Mercury and negotiate favorable outcomes.
  • Serve as Mercury’s internal expert on the payroll vendor ecosystem and maintain knowledge base.
  • Proactively manage partner performance; address incidents, integration issues, and escalations.
  • Foster cross-functional discussions across product, legal, finance, and engineering to drive alignment.
