Job summary

Mercury is building a scalable fintech platform and seeks a senior product leader to own identity, roles, permissions, and authorization end to end. You will run it as a platform, defining how other teams engage and building an invitation flow that is high-trust for founders bringing their teams onto Mercury.

Expect to navigate complex permission models, align with platform strategy, and drive end-to-end ownership across research, design, engineering, GTM, and stakeholders in a fast-growing SaaS

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product management experience, preferably on horizontal product or platform teams accountable for identity, roles, and authorization.
• Balance product and platform considerations; avoid over-complication of permission models to help customers choose Mercury.
• Early involvement: be in the room before decisions are made on platform initiatives.
• Ability to articulate a point of view on agentic action and non-person actors.
• Track record of turning ambiguity into clear, independent perspectives.
• End-to-end problem ownership across research, design, engineering, GTM, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own identity, roles, permissions, and authorization end to end: granular for demanding customers, rigorous for our bank charter, and simple for most users.
• Run it as a platform. Define how other product teams engage with yours and accelerate their work.
• Make founder onboarding easy: identify hesitations and create inviting, high-trust processes.
• Shape the future direction of this space as product ambition and user needs evolve, including agents among users.
