Job summary

Fluor Corporation in Houston is seeking a Supply Chain Manager for Materials to lead material management on large EPC projects from $500M to $4B, coordinating logistics, purchasing, expediting, and field material operations to protect schedule and cost objectives.

The role focuses on developing strategies, guiding teams, and collaborating with clients and suppliers to maintain project performance, safety, and compliance on a global platform.

Qualifications

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and fourteen (14) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eighteen (18) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated Project Material Management Plans and Strategies to align and support overall EPCM Project Execution.
• Analyze situations, identify and forecast problems, evaluate options, and implement appropriate actions and mitigations to maintain the project construction schedule.
• Manage personnel, provide an environment for staff development and professional advancement, including training opportunities and performance feedback.
• Support our Sales Group in the development of integrated material management strategies that align with execution, risks and market intelligence
• Review the project scope of work and prime contract and develop modifications to standard templates and terms and conditions for final legal review
