ZipStaff is seeking three Senior Strategic IT Sourcing Consultants to support strategic sourcing and 3rd-party expense management for Global Technology Services at a leading investment management organization.

This senior, autonomous role focuses on category strategy across complex technology spend areas, acting as a trusted advisor to executives, driving cost optimization and supplier relationships while delivering results.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of advanced strategic sourcing/procurement experience with technology focus.
• Proven track record negotiating SaaS, Cloud, and enterprise technology agreements at scale.
• Strong analytical skills with spend analytics, data analysis, and financial modeling.
• Knowledge of technology and labor supplier markets (Cloud, SaaS, Telecom, Hardware/Software).
• Ability to lead complex sourcing projects independently with timelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to influence stakeholders.
• Deep SOW knowledge and experience with labor consolidation or related tech services sourcing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies for complex technology categories (cost reduction targets, supplier criteria, risk mitigation).
• Lead end-to-end RFx processes (RFI, RFQ, RFP) and evaluate proposals on price, quality, and fit.
• Design and lead complex contract negotiations (master agreements, SOWs, terms) for SaaS, Cloud, and tech services at scale.
• Manage key supplier relationships, monitor KPIs, drive continuous improvement.
• Analyze spend data, perform TCO and cost modeling, identify high-impact savings.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate business needs into sourcing requirements.
• Operate autonomously, provide data-backed recommendations, drive projects to completion.

Senior Strategic IT Sourcing Consultant

Contract (W2 through ZipStaff — No C2C or 1099)

About the Opportunity

ZipStaff is seeking three highly experienced Senior Strategic IT Sourcing Consultants to support strategic sourcing and 3rd-party expense management for Global Technology Services and IT Management Services at a leading investment management organization.

This is a senior, autonomous role focused on category strategy across complex technology spend areas including FinOps, Cloud Engineering, Compute/Storage/IaaS, Network Technologies, Digital Workplace, Endpoint, Telecom, Collaboration Technology, SaaS, and related IT services. You will act as a trusted advisor to executives, develop innovative sourcing strategies, drive cost optimization, and manage high-value supplier relationships.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and execute comprehensive strategic sourcing strategies for complex technology categories, including cost reduction targets, supplier selection criteria, and risk mitigation plans.
• Lead end-to-end RFx processes (RFI, RFQ, RFP), analyze responses, and evaluate proposals on price, quality, delivery, and strategic fit.
• Design and lead complex contract negotiations, including master agreements, SOWs, and commercial terms for SaaS, Cloud, and technology services at scale.
• Manage key supplier relationships, monitor performance against KPIs, and drive continuous improvement.
• Analyze spend data, perform TCO and cost modeling, and identify high-impact cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate business needs into clear sourcing requirements and communicate strategies and progress to executive leadership.
• Operate autonomously, bring data-backed recommendations, and drive projects from initiation to completion with limited supervision.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of advanced strategic sourcing / procurement experience with deep mastery of technology-focused procurement principles, practices, and models.
• Proven track record negotiating SaaS, Cloud, and enterprise technology agreements at scale in a global environment.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in spend analytics, data analysis, and financial modeling.
• Extensive knowledge of technology and labor supplier markets, including Cloud, SaaS, Telecom, Hardware/Software, and outsourced IT services.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex sourcing projects independently, manage timelines, and deliver results under limited supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and concisely convey contracting options and recommendations.
• Deep SOW knowledge and experience with labor consolidation or related technology services sourcing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Cloud/SaaS/AI category management.
• Background supporting Hardware, Software, Telecom, or outsourced services categories.
• Prior experience as a trusted advisor to executives in large-scale technology organizations.
• Familiarity with FinOps or IaaS/Compute/Storage category strategy.
