Job summary

The Clearing Inc. is seeking a Strategic Communications SME to lead cradle-to-grave strategic communications, branding, stakeholder engagement, and organizational-adoption support to a federal client’s Front Office.

The SME will help articulate and advance its mission portfolio through cohesive internal and external communications across government stakeholders, Congress, partners, employees, and the public.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 15+ years of strategic communications experience.
• Experience developing and executing strategic communications for large, complex, or high-visibility organizations.
• Senior-level communications counsel to executive leaders, including speech writing and briefings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior strategic communications advisor to Front Office and designated government leaders.
• Develop and execute an enterprise strategic communications strategy supporting mission expansion and stakeholder engagement.
• Provide cradle-to-grave communications support from discovery to evaluation, including planning, messaging, and content production.
• Establish a unified message architecture and brand strategy across internal and external channels.
• Advise leadership on stakeholder perception, risks, and messaging approaches.
• Prepare executive materials: strategic plans, talking points, briefing books, and public-facing content.
• Coordinate congressional engagement and interagency communications activities.
• Lead workforce communications and change-adoption efforts across multiple regions.
