Job summary

The GARRETT GROUP seeks an experienced Strategic Bomber Subject Matter Expert to advise on bomber operations within USSTRATCOM exercises and assessments. You will scrutinize bomber platforms, employment concepts, and integration across the nuclear triad.

You will lead advanced analyses, support joint exercises, and inform senior leadership on readiness gaps. A Top Secret/SCI clearance and JPME are required for this senior role.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of practical bomber operations experience as a commissioned officer.
• 3+ years at the OSD/Joint Staff/Combatant Command or equivalent HQ-level organization.
• Master's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• JPME Phase II graduate.
• Senior Service School graduate (e.g., Air War College).
• Weapons School graduate.
• Air Operations Center (AOC) experience.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NC2/ESI access and SAP.
• Ability to obtain accesses within 30 days of task order award.
• Demonstrated coordination with Joint Staff and Combatant Commands.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced analysis of USSTRATCOM core mission areas focusing on bomber operations.
• Provide SME on bomber platforms B-1, B-2, B-52, and B-21.
• Assess deterrence and integration within nuclear and conventional ops.
• Support development and execution of joint exercises and assessments.
• Contribute to planning efforts incl. CONOPS, OPORDs and strategic assessments.
• Advise senior leadership on bomber readiness and capability gaps.
• Integrate bomber ops within NC2/NC3 frameworks and global strike missions.
• Participate in wargaming and scenario development.
• Coordinate across Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, Services, and interagency.
