Job summary

City of Redmond seeks a Senior Stormwater Engineer to apply advanced stormwater design, modeling, and regulatory compliance knowledge. You will support complex development reviews, lead cross-department reviews, and mentor staff to advance resilient and sustainable stormwater solutions.

The role emphasizes collaboration across departments, effective communication, and leadership in public works stormwater projects to protect community infrastructure and growth in Redmond.

Qualifications

• B.S. in civil engineering or related field.
• Minimum seven years of engineering experience, including three years in project administration/management.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred for Senior level.

Responsibilities

• Review developer applications and project plans for compliance with critical areas, grading and stormwater regulations including LID design.
• Review, approve, process, and manage projects for permit approval.
• Schedule and lead the Civil Coordinated Review process from start to finish; participate in public hearings and meetings.
• Respond to internal and external questions regarding Stormwater, Critical Areas and LID issues and represent the division in design and meetings.
