Job summary

Advance Auto Parts, Inc. seeks a General Manager to lead a busy store, driving sales and service excellence while managing a professional customer base and a team of 10–20 associates. The role emphasizes profitability, inventory control, and strong daily operations in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will hire, train, and coach staff, execute merchandising and service standards, and lead on-duty responsibilities with a focus on customer satisfaction and safety.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience managing a team of 10–20 in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Proven profitability management and strong business acumen.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred; GED acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Achieve overall store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage and grow Professional Customer relationships/sales, including team accountability.
• Selection, hiring, development, performance mgmt., coaching and scheduling of store Team Members.
• Ensure execution of all inventory and operational standards.
• Coach Team Members to deliver on Customer expectations (DIY and Professional).
• On-duty responsibilities including coaching, floor/phone mgmt., task assignment.
• Lead change management and foster a diverse, respectful environment.
• Provide DIY services such as battery installation and wiper installation.
• Assist District/Region in other functions upon request.
