Job summary

Advance Auto Parts, Inc. is seeking a General Manager to lead and grow a high-performing store team. You will drive sales, manage professional customer relationships, and oversee hiring, coaching, and daily operations to meet service and financial goals.

The role requires extensive hours (50–55 per week), weekend work, and the ability to manage both DIY and professional customer needs, with a focus on safety and process excellence.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience managing a team of 10–20 in retail.
• Proven profitability and financial acumen.
• Valid driver’s license; ASE certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve overall store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage and grow Professional Customer relationships and sales.
• Recruit, hire, develop, evaluate, coach and engage store Team Members.
• Ensure execution of inventory and operational standards.
• Coach Team Members to meet customer expectations (DIY and Pro).
• On-duty responsibilities: coaching, floor/phone management, safety, opening/closing.
• Lead change management and foster a diverse, respectful environment.
• Provide DIY service and assist in district/region functions when needed.
