Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Travel is required daily with 25%–90% overnight travel.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive for job-related travel.
• General bookkeeping and basic inventory concept knowledge is necessary.
• Strong interpersonal, reading/writing and math skills are necessary.
• Solid attention to detail with high accuracy; strong organizational/time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inventory control tasks and checks against records.
• Review and recount inventory data; explain variances to management.
• Provide mentorship and training to Inventory staff.
• Determine if products are outdated and need removal from shelves.
• Suggest process improvements to inventory leadership.
• Educate Store Managers on inventory processes and shrink/waste reduction.
• Respond to inquiries and escalate to leadership as needed.
• Report concerns regarding store-level controls to leadership.

Under general supervision, the Senior Store Inventory Control Specialist is responsiblefor traveling to stores within an assigned area and directing periodic inventory, financial, and fuel audits at assigned store locations to assist with profit and loss determination.The Senior Inventory Control Specialist will provide mentorship to less experienced Inventory team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inventory control tasks and checks on quantities, quality, and availability against records following established inventory control procedures.
• Ensures inventory data is reviewed/recounted in accordance with department standards and data outside of established ranges is investigated with explanations provided to management.
• Provides mentorship and training to less experienced Inventory staff.
• Determines if products are outdated and need to be removed from the shelves.
• Provides recommendations or suggestions for process improvements to Inventory Trainer, Team Lead or Inventory Supervisor.
• Provides education to Store Managers on the store inventory process and shrink/waste reduction opportunities.
• Responds to all inquiries, escalating to Leadership as needed.
• Reports areas of concern in regards to store level controls to leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Compensation and benefits:

• Senior Specialist starting pay at $19.25 - $25.25 per hour depending on experience

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Travel is required daily and overnight travel is required 25 % - 90% of the time.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have the physical ability to drive a vehicle for job related travel.
• General bookkeeping and basic inventory concept knowledge is necessary.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Functional reading, writing and math skills are necessary.
• Solid attention to detail with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Solid organizational and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Programs such as Outlook and Excel.
• Work is performed in a store setting, including in freezers and coolers.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently.
• Requires standing and walking in store environment for longperiods and involves repeated bending, squatting, stooping and kneeling.

Preferred:

• At least two years of inventory related experience.
