Job summary

Target seeks a Senior Designer on the Architecture team to translate brand and guest experience into buildable, site-specific architectural solutions. You will shape design intent and work with municipalities, developers, and internal partners to balance brand, budget, and regulatory needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (Master’s preferred).
• 4+ years of relevant experience in architecture or retail design.
• Ability to translate design concepts into site-specific solutions.
• Experience producing and reviewing construction documentation with consultants.
• Understanding of building systems, materials, detailing and constructability.

Responsibilities

• Translate brand and design principles into site-specific architectural solutions.
• Develop elevations, site adaptations and submittal packages.
• Represent design intent with municipalities, developers and internal partners.
• Advance design from feasibility and schematic design through construction.
• Review construction documents to maintain quality and design intent.
• Support projects through construction and resolve field questions.
• Balance design ambition with cost, schedule and guest experience.
• Collaborate across Architecture, Construction, Engineering, Store Planning, Real Estate and Brand/Marketing.
• Communicate ideas through sketches, 3D models and visual tools.
