Job summary

Mirantis, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Storage) to design and build high-performance storage interfaces for GPU-accelerated AI platforms, with Go as the primary language.

You will work on control-plane services, drivers (CSI), and tooling that connect storage systems to Kubernetes workloads across remote US environments. Use cases include integrating Dell PowerScale and VAST, implementing declarative provisioning, and ensuring reliability in hybrid and air-gapped deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development, with Go as a primary language.
• 5+ years building or integrating storage systems at scale.
• Hands-on experience with high-performance storage platforms (Dell PowerScale, VAST).
• Solid understanding of file/block/object storage, throughput, latency, caching, consistency, and failure modes.
• Experience with Kubernetes storage (CSI, persistent volumes, storage classes) and infrastructure-as-code.
• Strong written and verbal communication with technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Storage Software & Integration: build control-plane services and drivers (CSI) for storage in Kubernetes-based AI workloads.
• Software & Automation: deliver IaC (Terraform/OpenTofu) and GitOps pipelines (ArgoCD or Flux).
• Platform & Hybrid Delivery: enable storage integration for k0s-based Kubernetes and air-gapped environments.
