Job summary
Companion Data Services, a BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina subsidiary, seeks a senior systems programmer to maintain and optimize core systems infrastructure. Qualifications
- Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
- Thorough understanding of operating systems and foundation architecture.
- Extensive knowledge of systems programming, GUIs, control languages, development, QA, and integration methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, isolate, and debug software problems and perform problem resolution.
- Review and design system software and hardware builds, analyzing options for the overall infrastructure.
- Coordinate installation, testing, and maintenance of systems software.
- Review requests, security patches, and audit requirements for changes to systems, evaluating feasibility.
- Provide input on proposals that could impact systems in coordination with leadership.
- Assist in establishing standards and guidelines for technology solutions.
