Job summary

Adyen Storage Team is seeking a storage engineer to design, implement, and manage data storage systems, ensuring reliability and scalability. You will lead end‑to‑end storage solutions, including backups, disaster recovery, and capacity forecasting.

From day one, you will work with Ceph and enterprise storage stacks (Purestorage, NetApp, EMC, Dell, IBM, Hitachi) while using scripting and IaC tools to automate provisioning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Linux systems administration with a focus on storage.
• Proven experience with enterprise storage systems (e.g., Purestorage, NetApp, EMC, Dell, IBM, Hitachi).
• Strong understanding of RAID, LVM, NFS, iSCSI, multipathing, and file systems (ext4, XFS, ZFS, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with clustering technologies and storage virtualization.
• Proficiency in shell scripting; knowledge of Python, Puppet, or Ansible.
• Familiarity with cloud storage solutions like AWS S3 and EBS.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Prometheus, or Zabbix.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy storage infrastructure (SAN, NAS, DAS, Object Storage) per organizational needs.
• Monitor and maintain storage systems for optimal performance and availability.
• Perform capacity planning and forecasting for future storage needs.
• Develop and implement backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Troubleshoot storage system issues and maintain configuration documentation.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering teams on upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
• Automate storage provisioning and management using scripting or IaC tools.
