Job summary

Piper Companies in Annapolis Junction, MD seeks a Senior Storage Engineer to oversee enterprise storage and backup infrastructure ensuring data availability and resilience in mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities include monitoring backup platforms (NetBackup, Cohesity, Commvault, Rubrik), onboarding servers and VMs, troubleshooting storage issues, deploying new solutions, maintaining capacity planning, and supporting disaster recovery efforts.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP).
• DoD 8570-compliant certification such as Security+ CE or higher.
• 10+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator, Storage Administrator, or related role.
• Experience supporting enterprise backup and recovery solutions.
• Strong knowledge of storage infrastructure and data protection technologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting and customer support skills.

The Senior Storage Engineer will oversee enterprise storage and backup infrastructure while ensuring data availability, resilience, and operational excellence across mission-critical environments.

Compensation for the Senior Storage Engineer includes:

• Salary range: $80,000 - $200,000 depending on experience
