Job summary

Systems Plus, Inc. is seeking a seasoned IT Operations Specialist in the United States.

You will review events, refine processes, and push automation to improve service uptime and performance, while coordinating with Enterprise Operations, Cybersecurity, networking, and cloud teams to develop effective solutions. You will assess vulnerabilities in the virtual server and container hosting stack, contribute to quality checks and operational metrics, and collaborate with vendors as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of relevant experience.
• Deep knowledge of Dell Blade networking and firewall management for virtual infrastructures.
• Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation.
• Experience with VMware Aria Operations.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and coordinate with vendors.
• SME on two or more: Kubernetes, Server Hosting, Virtual Networking, Network and Application Security, Scripting/Programming.
• Experience with at least three of the listed technologies (VMware, Workspace ONE, Windows/Linux servers, Dell/HPE hardware, Kubernetes).
• Preferred: Dell/Cisco chassis network and storage switch configuration.

Responsibilities

• Review existing operational events and propose refinements, automation, or broadened handling with focus on uptime and performance.
• Interact with client community stakeholders across Enterprise Operations, Cybersecurity, and network/cloud teams for troubleshooting and solution development.
• Identify and report on current vulnerability/risk state of client virtual server and container hosting architecture.
• Assist in developing and performing quality control checks for service uptime and operations.
• Assist in developing and performing operational metrics for uptime and operations.
