Job summary

Systems Plus, Inc. is seeking an Enterprise Technology Systems (ETS) Senior Storage Systems Engineer to join our onsite team in the United States.

The role emphasizes uptime, performance, and collaboration across Enterprise Operations, Cybersecurity, and networking teams. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in relevant fields, and expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation, Aria, Kubernetes, and storage/network technologies, with US citizenship for security clearance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent +5 years in CS/Engineering/IT or similar.
• In-depth knowledge of Dell Blade switches and firewall management for virtual infra.
• Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation and Aria Operations.
• Able to troubleshoot complex issues and coordinate with staff/vendors.
• SME on two or more: Kubernetes, Server Hosting, Virtual Networking, Network/Sec.
• Experience with at least 3 of: VMware products, Workspace ONE/Horizon, Windows/Linux servers, Dell/HPE blades, Kubernetes.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearances.

Responsibilities

• Review events, propose refinements, automation, and broadened handling for uptime and performance.
• Interact with client community and internal teams for troubleshooting/solutions.
• Identify and report on vulnerability/risk state of client VM/Container hosting.
• Assist in quality checks for service uptime and operations performance.
• Assist in developing operational metrics for uptime and operations.

Daily Responsibilities

• Review existing operational events and propose refinements, automation, and/or broaden handling capabilities asappropriate withfocuson service uptime and performance.
• Interact with other stakeholders in theclientcommunity for troubleshooting/solution development/etc. This interaction could include other members of other members of Enterprise Operations, Cybersecurity, the networking team, cloud team,technology supportpartners, etc.
• Identifyand report on current vulnerability/risk state ofclientVirtual Server and Container hosting architecture.
• Assistin the development and performance of quality control checks for service uptime and operations.
• Assistin the development and performance of operational metrics for service uptime and operations.

Years of Experience

Required Degree

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (+5 years) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, InformationTechnologyor similar relevant degrees.

Requirements

• In depth knowledge of network switching in Dell Blade systems andFirewall Managementfor Virtual Infrastructures.
• Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
• Experience with VMware Aria Operation suite.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and when necessary, coordinate working sessionswith technical staff and supportive vendors/resellers.
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) on two or more of the following: Kubernetes, Server Hosting, Virtual Networking, Network and Application Security, Scripting/Programming.
• Demonstrate experienceworking with at least 3 of the following technologies:
  • VMWare (by Broadcom) Products (examples: vCenter, vSphere, Other)
  • Omnissa(formerly VMware) Products (examples: Workspace One, Horizon VDI, Other
  • Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems and/or Linux Based Server Operating Systems
  • Dell and/or HPE Blade/Rack Server Hardware
  • Kubernetes Container Infrastructure (examples: Tanzu, Docker, others)
• Preferred: Dell and/or Cisco Chassis Network and StorageSwitchconfiguration.

Required Clearance
