Job summary

BD is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Lead to oversee preventive maintenance for sterilization equipment and building systems in a large manufacturing setting. You will manage critical utilities, coordinate contractors, and drive validation activities to ensure compliance and operational readiness.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, PLC programming knowledge, and experience with IQ/OQ/PQ/FAT, plus the ability to lead process improvements and cost-reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read PID, plans, blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Experience with Fire alarm systems, BAS, and controls/instrumentation systems.
• Understanding of electrical classifications and hazardous areas; strong troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead preventive maintenance for sterilization equipment and facility systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Troubleshoot and maintain critical utility systems supporting sterilization operations (steam, hot water, chilled water, vacuum, nitrogen).
• Coordinate external contractors for specialized projects and routine servicing.
• Act as Project Manager for new equipment installations and facility upgrades.
• Lead validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ/FAT) and develop validation protocols.
