Job summary

Trinity Health in Fort Lauderdale, FL seeks a Certified Sterile Technician for the Evening Shift. You will decontaminate, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments and supplies, maintaining strict workflow for the Operating Room schedule.

You must have a high school diploma, completion of Central Services Technician training (certification preferred), and 2–5 years of sterile processing experience, plus solid computer skills and strong interpersonal abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduation from Central Services Technician course; Certification preferred.
• Minimum of two years experience; 5 years preferred; computer knowledge required; good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates, prepares, packages and sterilizes surgical instrumentation and supplies.
• Performs all duties of a Certified Sterile Technician.
• Meets daily required distribution of processed materials with proper documentation and reports submitted.
• Assures proper instrumentation requirements for the surgical schedule as indicated by supervisor and SPD/OR Liaison
• Operates the sterilizer and ensures that staff is producing a minimum of 4 trays each.
