Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician I for the Greater Manchester Region. You will de-contaminate, process, assemble and sterilize instruments, and restock isolation and care equipment following infection control guidelines.

You will lead in the absence of management, communicate with ORs and Biomed, and support staff through training and knowledge assessments in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certification in Sterile Processing (CBSPD or IAHCSMM) required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and pass safety program.

Aufgaben

• Delivers and documents shift report to all appropriate shift members.
• Demonstrates supervisory skills in absence of management and coordinates with ORs, Biomed and vendors.
• Assists with education and growth within department; conducts knowledge assessments and trainings.
• Prepares soiled instrumentation for transport to Off-Site Sterile Processing Center.
• Inspects, assembles and packages items for sterilization and prevents damage to instruments.
• Troubleshoots department equipment and understands sterilization process.
