Job summary

Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center in Enola, PA, is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to prepare, sterilize, install or clean laboratory and healthcare equipment. You will act as the first point of escalation for staff when a supervisor is unavailable and support training and mentoring new and existing employees while prioritizing assignments to meet deadlines.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and five years of sterile processing experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Five (5) years of experience working in sterile processing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, sterilize, install or clean laboratory or healthcare equipment.
• May perform routine laboratory tasks and operate or inspect equipment.
• Act as first point of escalation for staff when a supervisor is not immediately available.
• Assist in training and mentoring new and existing employees and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines.
