Job summary

Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center seeks a Sterile Processing Tech III to prepare, sterilize, install, or clean medical equipment. This role will train staff, assist in prioritizing workloads, and act as a point of escalation when supervision is not available.

Ideal candidates have five years in sterile processing and a High School Diploma or equivalent. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible applicants and Penn State University discount benefits apply to employees.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Five (5) years of experience working in sterile processing required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, sterilize, install or clean laboratory or healthcare equipment.
• May perform routine laboratory tasks and operate or inspect equipment.
• Act as first point of escalation for staff when the supervisor is unavailable.
• Mentor and train new and existing employees and help prioritize assignments to meet deadlines.
