Job summary

Rochester Regional Health's Unity Hospital in Rochester, NY is seeking a Senior Sterile Processing Tech to mentor Sterile Processing staff and support leadership in developing junior colleagues. You will ensure decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization and distribution of medical equipment across the hospital and affiliates, while upholding safety and cost efficiency.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, 3 years in sterile processing and nationally recognized certifications,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3 years' experience in sterile processing.
• Certified Central Service Technician or Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician.

Responsibilities

• Sterile Processing Expertise: Decontamination, cleaning, packing, sterilization, storage, and distribution of medical equipment.
• Mentorship and Training: guide junior staff and assist in training new employees.
• Inventory and Supply Management: maintain supplies and ensure availability of equipment.
• Safety, Cleanliness, and Compliance: uphold standards and complete ongoing education.
