Job summary

Children's Hospital Colorado seeks a Senior Certified Instrument/Sterile Processing Technician to oversee decontamination, reprocessing, and maintenance of surgical instruments and patient care equipment. You will work in the Colorado Springs Sterile Processing department, with part-time hours (36 per week) and on-call expectations.

The role requires 2 years of hospital sterile processing experience and CRCST or CSPDT certification, with a focus on safety, infection control, and collaboration

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of surgical instrumentation experience in a hospital sterile processing environment.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and assembles surgical instruments, equipment, trays and packs.
• Fills surgery case carts from predetermined listings; may deliver case carts to surgical floor.
• Identifies and reports supply, equipment, and procedure problems.
• Assists in orientation and continuing education of lower-level Sterile Processing Technicians.
• Maintains departmental standards by adhering to policies and procedures and contributing to quality assurance.
