Job summary

Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech II for a full-time, second-shift position in the Main OR. The role requires a national certification for sterile processing and extensive knowledge of surgical instrumentation.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completion status in the SPD Readiness Course; or national certification through HSPA or CBSPD.
• Maintain required CEUs in accordance with certifying body.
• Minimum of one year of experience in sterile processing, or nine months with certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high professional standards in sterilization decisions.
• Apply microbiology and infection-control knowledge to processing surgical instruments.
• Sterilize instrumentation and equipment used in patient care.
• Keep daily records and monitor chemical, mechanical, and biological processes.
• Assist in orienting new team members and supporting SPD operations.
