Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a Central Sterile Supervisor for the 2nd shift (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm). You will oversee sterile processing, instrumentation handling, and equipment readiness across decontamination and OR support areas.

The role requires strong leadership, infection control knowledge, and the ability to train staff while maintaining compliance with OR standards. This position is full-time at AdventHealth.

Qualifications

• Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) or CSPDT certification required.
• Associate degree or high school diploma with relevant experience considered.
• At least 1 year in central sterile or related field preferred.
• Able to train staff and manage inventory effectively.
• Knowledge of infection control, aseptic techniques and microbiology.

Responsibilities

• Serve as shift charge person in absence of department leadership.
• Ensure instrumentation and equipment availability; monitor PPE use.
• Oversee supply and equipment inventory; rotate across department areas.
• Operate sterilization equipment; apply correct IFU methods.
• Maintain infection control practices and environmental cleanliness.
• Respond to issues; communicate with hospital team; document activities.
