Job summary

Trueline Talent is seeking a Steel Estimator & Salesman for our Lexington, KY office. The role combines hands-on estimating with active business development, building a personal book of high-value clients and relationships.

You will price complex steel projects, perform material takeoffs, and collaborate with shop and field teams to ensure accurate, competitive, and executable estimates that drive revenue growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience estimating industrial steel work.
• Strong ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specs.
• Experience performing material takeoffs and pricing labor, materials, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete estimates for structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication and erection projects.
• Develop and manage a personal pipeline of prospective clients and opportunities.
• Follow up on proposals, track bid outcomes, and negotiate contracts.
