Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas is seeking a Steam Turbine Design Engineer III in Orlando to provide engineering support across the turbine lifecycle, from design to field service, mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with global teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and at least 5 years of turbomachinery design or service experience, with strong analytical and communication skills. You will work with SAP, Windchill, and CRM tools to deliver high-quality engineering deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering design or service experience in turbomachinery or related fields.
• Ability to read and interpret industry reports, technical journals, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Advanced computer skills including finite element analysis, spreadsheets, and presentation software.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership.
• Perform independent evaluation of turbine design, thermal performance, valve systems, and auxiliary components to support new designs, upgrades, and repairs.
• Develop and validate engineering solutions for turbine systems, piping, instrumentation interfaces, and mechanical components aligned with design standards and operational requirements.
• Provide engineering support for field service activities including inspections, outages, commissioning, and troubleshooting of steam turbine systems.
• Analyze field data, inspection results, and operating trends to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions and performance improvements.
• Prepare and review engineering deliverables such as ESRs, NCRs, work instructions, and technical reports while ensuring quality compliance.
