Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Senior Research Statistician in Statistical Innovation to provide scientific leadership for designing innovative clinical trials and evaluating advanced statistical modeling and simulations. You will help deploy novel methods and build deep learning tools to drive innovation in Clinical Development.

The role requires collaboration across disciplines, strong communication, and a passion for statistical innovation, with expertise in SAS, R, and emerging methods.

Qualifications

• PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics or a highly related field.
• Advanced knowledge of statistical modeling and methodology and good understanding of drug development process.
• Experience in advanced statistical computing & simulation skills.
• Proven expertise in SAS and R.

Responsibilities

• Supports novel statistical and/or ML/DL approaches.
• Investigates complex innovative designs using modeling and simulations.
• Keeps up-to-date with advanced statistical methods (e.g., adaptive designs, Bayesian methods, predictive modeling).
• Develops and implements statistical and deep learning tools to operationalize methodologies.
• Collaborates with experts and leaders to apply statistical knowledge to real-world problems.
• Builds external reputation through presentations and publications.
