Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Senior Statistical Programmer to develop and validate SAS programs that generate tables, listings, and graphs per the analysis plan. You will coordinate with Biostatisticians and other programmers to ensure accuracy and conformance to SOPs and ICH guidelines.

As lead statistical programmer, you’ll mentor junior staff, manage project timelines, and maintain documentation for inspection readiness across multiple studies while communicating progress to the project team.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a scientific or statistical discipline; equivalent combination of education and programming experience if no degree.
• Extensive programming experience in SAS or other required software, preferably in a clinical trial environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Uses SAS or other software to develop custom programming code to generate summary tables, data listings, graphs and derived datasets as specified in the statistical analysis plan and programming specifications.
• Works to ensure outputs meet quality standards and project requirements; performs validation programming and resolves discrepancies with team members.
• Maintains organized project documentation, testing, and QC documents ensuring inspection readiness.
• Manages scheduling and time constraints across multiple projects and develops specifications for datasets and outputs.
